The Good Person Test

Q 1. If you found a wallet packed with money, would you: [A] Keep it [B] Take it to the police [C] Give some of the money to the poor?

Q 2. Have you ever told a lie for any reason (including “fibs” and “white” lies…be honest)? [A] Yes [B] No… What do you call someone who tells a lie?

Q 3. Have you ever stolen anything…irrespective of its value (listen to your conscience)? [A] Yes [No]… What do you call someone who steals?

Q 4. Have you ever used God’s name to express disgust?

[A] No [B] Yes… This is called blasphemy. The Bible says that “God will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain” Exodus 20:7

Q 5. Have you ever looked with Lust? [A] No [B] Yes

Did you know that Jesus said he who looks with lust has already committed adultery in his heart (Matthew 5:27-28)

Q 6. Have you ever hated anyone? [A] No [B] Yes… The Bible says “Whosoever hates his brother has already murdered him in his heart” (1John 3:15)

Q 7. Did you know that the Bible warns us that “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). When you stand before your creator do you think you will be innocent or guilty of breaking His Commandments? [A] Innocent [B] Guilty

Q 8.Will you go to heaven or Hell? [A] Heaven [B] Hell…Does that concern you?

If you answered heaven... Perhaps you feel God is so good the good things you have done will outweigh your bad. If a man was found guilty of murder and standing before the judge said he was sorry and pleaded that he had done some good things, should the judge let him off? Of course not. If he’s a good judge he must see the man is punished for his crimes. In the same way God is so good and just he promises to punish all murders, thieves, liars, blasphemers and adulterers in his gaol called hell.

If you answered Hell but said it doesn’t really concern you... It should concern you.

The Bible teaches hell is a place of...

Shame and everlasting contempt” ( Daniel 12:2)

“Everlasting punishment” (Matthew 25:46)

“Weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 24:51)

“Fire unquenchable” (Luke 3:17)

“Indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish” (Romans 2:8-9)

Revelation 14:10-11 tells us the final, eternal destiny of the unrepentent sinner: “He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone...the smoke of their torment ascended up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day or night.”

You don’t want to go to hell do you? God doesn’t want you To go to hell either!

HOW TO BE SAVED

[1] AGREE with God that you are a sinner. “God gives grace to the humble” James 4:6.

[2] REPENT, do an about-turn. Confess and forsake your sinful life and turn toward God. “Repent and turn to God” Acts 26:20

[3] ACCEPT THROUGH FAITH the FREE gift of salvation. Jesus willingly laid down his life, by dying on a cross, to pay the penalty for your sin. “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” 1Timothy 1:15. Because he has paid the price for your sin the Bible says you can be forgiven and receive the gift of everlasting life; IF you repent and trust in him. “The gift of everlasting life is in Christ Jesus” Romans 6:23. Moreover Jesus said “I am come that they (His followers) might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” John 10:10. He also promises never to leave or forsake you.

Pray Something like this:

Lord Jesus I know I am a sinner and I want to turn away from my sin. Help me.

I believe you are the Son of God and you willingly laid down your life as a payment for my sins. I believe you died and then rose again on the third day proving you were God. I ask that you forgive me and come into my life as my Lord and Saviour.
